Odoo FAQ

  1. Register and complete email verification: Please first Odoo Chinese app store www.odooapp.cn Use WeChat scan code, or log in with QQ/Odoo.com account to complete registration and login. New users need to Email verification , email verification protects your account security and lets you receive our coupons and the latest Odoo solutions and news.
  2. Download from the download center or order: After purchasing an app, please download from this site (WeChat Mini Program does not support downloads). You can download from App download center or my Order download  [Sales Order -- Click 'Order Number' to enter the download page] Download the app.
    Note: When placing an order, the system will automatically add dependent app modules to the cart and order. Please be sure not to delete them. Remember to download the dependent app modules together when downloading.
  3. Upload to your Odoo: After downloading, extract the app into your addons directory, including dependent apps. You can find this directory in the "addons_path" parameter of your odoo configuration file /etc/odoo/odoo.conf , which by default points to the /addons folder where the Odoo service runs.
  4. Enter developer mode: Access the Odoo backend and enter developer mode by adding debug=1 after /web? , or go to  Settings --> Developer Tools and click Activate Developer Mode.
  5. Update the app list: Access the Odoo backend, go to Apps --> Update Apps List.
  6. Install app: Search for the app placed in step 2, usually by [module technical name], then click Install.
  7. Usage: The usage of an app is generally found in the app's description, or in the readme file in the app's root directory.
  8. Download updates: Our modules are continuously upgraded. You can download the latest version from your order, or get update information directly in Odoo.
  9. Upgrade: For safety, back up the old app first, then delete the old module from the Odoo addons directory. Download the updated module, extract it, and upload it to your Odoo server's addons directory. Then restart your Odoo service, go to the [Apps] menu, find the app by technical name, and click Upgrade. If it is a base module, or you encounter field errors, you must stop the Odoo service and start it with the -u option, for example

These basic contents are extremely helpful for getting started with Odoo and using it proficiently. Please study them on your own first.
  2. Odoo official Enterprise purchase: We do not offer standalone Enterprise purchases; a formal Enterprise license is only included in our leading service package. For questions about Enterprise licenses, please refer to the content on this site Odoo pricing overview . We recommend that users purchase the official Odoo Enterprise license themselves. Our company only provides enterprise technical support to project customers and customers of the leading service package. Our technical support and software licenses are independent licenses and have no connection with the official Odoo Enterprise license.
  3. User license: Only internal management users are counted. Regular employees (who do not need to log in) and website portal (e-commerce consumer) visitors are not counted in the license.

We will provide a quote for your needs, or provide 1 person-day of Odoo consulting implementation, technical support, custom development, and other services. Then determine the number of person-days based on the requirements and bill by person-day.

Module development: If you have a specific requirement based on our existing modules or your current Odoo application and would like us to customize it, please purchase our 1 man-day quotation service , our company will conduct a feasibility analysis of your requirements and provide a quote. This service only provides a quote and does not involve any development or deliverable.
  7. Other cooperation - project cooperation: If you are also a consulting or IT service provider, you are welcome to communicate with us through project cooperation. If you need to bid as a consortium, or want us to provide pre-sales and other technical support under your company's identity, please purchase service man-days first.
  8. Other cooperation - project quotation: If your project is still in the consulting stage and you cannot provide a budget range, or if you would like us to provide a preliminary project quotation, you are welcome to directly purchase our 1 person-day service , and we will provide technical resources for quotation and consulting support.

  1. You can see the demo address link on the app module details page. Click it to go to our Odoo 18 demo website . In the demo site, log in with the Odoo official account to view as a backend business management user, or log in with the Ai pass to view as a website user.
  2. Most application modules have demos. Please check the module description first. However, due to version differences, some modules may not be in the demo environment, or because it is a shared demo environment for multiple users, the data may be somewhat chaotic. Please understand based on the description.
  3. If you cannot find a relevant demo or do not know how to use it, please check the app module description. What you see is what you get; the description you see is the functionality you receive. For features not in the description, you can search for other modules by keyword or purchase our development person-day customization.
  4. If you still have questions, you can consult by email, but for module users we do not provide technical pre-sales support; please consult after purchase. You can also provide project information to seek project guidance from us in the form of a project.
  1. If you have purchased our Odoo applications, we will provide free email support for 15 days from the purchase date. Please email your installation and usage questions to odoo@china.com or guohuadeng@hotmail.com , the relevant technical support email is listed in the module description you downloaded. When sending an email, please be sure to include the purchase order number and the complete Odoo version number used, such as 18.0.25.06.18, and also state your problem and provide corresponding screenshots.

  3. Your email will be replied to within 30 days ; please be patient. We use Alibaba Cloud Mail, so please ensure your sending mailbox will not be blocked by Alibaba Cloud's anti-spam policy.   1. First check the version to confirm that the Odoo version you are using is the same as the app version you purchased.
  2. Make sure you have downloaded the latest version from your order. Our Odoo modules are continuously updated, and we provide free technical support within the Odoo official EOL (End of Life) period—usually three years.
  3. If you encounter the error "External dependency xxx not installed", simply install the dependency library, for example by running pip install xxx, or search for the relevant method yourself.
  4. If problems persist, please install and test on a clean Odoo, i.e., an Odoo without too many third-party app modules installed. Our apps are only guaranteed to be compatible with our own apps and third-party apps that comply with Odoo development standards. App issues caused by third-party apps are not covered by our service and after-sales commitments. Please contact the third-party app or our technical team for resolution.
  5. If problems persist, in the Odoo backend, from the top-right menu, activate "Debug Assets" or "Developer Mode", then send us the detailed error information and screenshots. Please note that within the installation guidance technical support period—i.e., 15 days, email us and we will diagnose and resolve the issue. If the technical support period has expired, please first purchase 1 man-day technical support. For details, refer to the previous FAQ on how to get technical support.
  6. After diagnosis, if the issue is with a third-party app, technical support will be provided according to our man-day rates. You may also seek support from the third-party app author yourself and pay us the man-day fees involved in debugging.
  1. All our apps are based on open-source Odoo or OdooAi's AiERP, so you must first install the relevant basic version of Odoo before use.

  1. Yes, unless otherwise noted, our apps work perfectly with Odoo Enterprise (on-premise and Odoo.SH) and Community editions. Odoo Online (cloud) does not allow third-party app installation, so this app cannot be installed on Odoo Online.
  1. Yes, as of now all our apps are fully open source. If encrypted app modules are introduced later, this will be clearly indicated. Regardless of encryption, all modules comply with relevant software licenses (mostly GNU licenses), and module users are also requested to comply with the relevant licenses.

  3. OdooAi technical support is consistent with Odoo official, i.e., the product version lifecycle is 3 years. Once an app module reaches EoL (End of Life), no updates or bug fix support will be provided.
  4. Odoo's official EoL policy states that, for both Enterprise and Community editions, the product lifecycle is 3 version cycles, i.e., 3 years. For example, after Odoo 19 is released, technical support is only provided for versions 19, 18, and 17; versions below Odoo 16 will no longer receive technical support.
  5. If you purchased Odoo Enterprise, as long as you are within the license support period, you can use any Odoo version that has not reached EoL. If you currently have a valid Odoo Enterprise license, you can use any version such as Odoo 19, 18, 17, but the official support covers only one database instance.
  6. For technical support of Odoo Enterprise, the official support channels areOnline ticket, i.e., Help Ticket, the official team will provide assistance via email. Please be sure to provide your Enterprise license number. For customers who purchase our service package, we will prioritize directly resolving your issues or submit a ticket on your behalf.

  1. No, each Odoo version changes, so each version's app is only guaranteed to work with that version. Of course, you can try upgrading to other versions yourself.

  2. Independently commercially licensed apps: apps whose license agreement is marked as 'OPL-1' or 'OEEL-1'. These are our commercial app modules or themes, each app is licensed to only one end commercial user (i.e., one commercial Odoo database instance). To use it for more users, please purchase more licenses or contact us for special permission.
  3. The above licenses are all commercial authorizations with no technical restrictions. Please respect and comply with the relevant license agreements.
  4. For any infringement or suspected infringement, our company will pursue or reserve the right to pursue legal liability in accordance with China's intellectual property laws and the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China and other laws and regulations.

A common deployment uses 2 servers: one front-end server and one Odoo main application server (including database). Medium and large enterprises can choose to deploy an additional independent database server or add HA high availability deployment. You can use Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Amazon AMS, etc. The recommended minimum configuration is as follows (sufficient for 25 users):
